Ok, I'm almost done with changing mine, i just can't get the lower suspension arm bolts, the three bolts, back in place. Is there a knack to it? Is it easier if both sides are jacked up because something is under tension there? Just can't get the bolts back through the holes and the nuts back on them.

I always leave my fork and tools in the boot of my car,

I have 2 peogeot 107. One is 07 reg and the other is 11reg. The 07 reg feels to low but the 11reg feels high up from the rear. I like it to be high. Can someone explain please.

The only easy job on this car

A good guide. But note the slight compression twist on the old oil filter cartridge when removed. This can be avoided by lubing the small O-ring on the neck of the replacement cartridge to ensure it fully inserts into the housing well, as the new cartridge and plastic cap are screwed back down by hand. You should be able to screw it all the way down by hand, with a final torque at the end. If not, something is not properly fitted and the cartridge will be compressed.

i watched this video a bout six times before attempting my one but one thing i think is very important to mention is placing the race that you took off the hub back inside the bearing as this is what presses against the bearing when pressing out alas i missed this bit and ended up failing i think this video should have some wording about this important part.

Did I miss the part were you replaced the commutator? That was so worn down it was junk.

Most of the time if a alternator dies its the wires in it losing the lacquer coating and shorting out. So this alternator your working on didn't needs much more then bearings or you didn't need to repair it at all. Painting it is not a repair. just a parts replacer with a powder coat gun. Or you would have rewound it as well. If that was showing dead not charging there is no fucking way you fixed it with out a rewinding of the alternator. Fake BS.

Great video but poor job on actually showing how to repair. Things aren't explained and while Im all for showing instead of telling, I wouldnt know what Im checking for in the electronics or why you needed to replace those parts or what I would do if I need to replace or fix any of the other parts.

Very helpfull video. One question, the torque settings shown on the video and in the transcript are different, which one should be used? I've just spent out on new torque wrenches so I want to do it right! Thanks.

It is best to leave the oil settle after the first start to fill the filter. Allow the oil to sink fully to the sump for maybe 5 minutes before ascertaining if more oil needs to be added.

Whos idea was it to use a no. 7 hex. Thats so fucking frustrating. 7 is never included in any tool box.

What are you going to do about the ring contacts?

Used to get clunking on left front wheel only with deep bumps, now with a whole compleet set of control arms and shock absorbers, it's more frequent even on small bumps, help pls
